CHARTERING

The Chartering Department is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with reputable chartering brokers and various operators and head owners. We charter the ships, for specific time period, to transport our contracted cargoes or as per spot market requirements.

Our chartering team comprises specialists with a wide experience and extensive practice in negotiation, chartering and operation.

We keep close watch on market trends i.e. indices, reported fixtures and market information, enabling us to make real time decision to charter vessels most economically for our clients.

OPERATIONS

It requires planning and precision to optimize the efficiency of any seaborne transportation. That is why Egeden principals expect us to operate ships with maximized cargo quantities on board with minimum voyage days, like devoted sailors used to navigate with Egeden, every voyage is analyzed before and after it is performed. Commercial management means being able to achieve same or better results both on the estimation calculations and the final perfomance analysis. Egeden also handles all post fixture work on behalf of its’ principals, with utmost care and attention, as and when required.

BROKERAGE

Egeden Shipping has separate Broking Desk, which acts as an intermediary between the cargo provider (i.e. charterer) and the shipping company (i.e. ship owner).

With good understanding of market, our brokers are able to guide accurately on prevailing freight rates which helps traders to make sales contract.

Starting with negotiation and fixing, our job includes preparing recap, charter party and laytime calculations, following final payments to close the file.

These are the vital parts of our service.

AGENCY

We believe that quality seamanship is needed to serve as port an agents and thus we work with the best available sailors, forming a good team. Principally our ship agency was formed for our internal needs, but we are now proudly and happily serving our clients also with our hard working and efficient network of subagents. Turkish straits; Dardanelles and the Bosphorus and Turkish ports mainly Eregli, Iskenderun, Marmara ports are our common calls with many more red pins on the map.
